A health system for America

Prescience was founded by doctors, engineers, and patients who know our system is broken. We believe that abundant intelligence will bring forth the prescient system Hippocrates dreamed of.

The problems

None of this is an accident. It's the predictable output of a system where everyone in the middle wins when care gets more expensive.

These aren't edge cases. They're what happens when an insurance company's profit is your premium.

Our name

/ˈpreSH(ē)əns/noun

1. foresight; knowledge of events before they take place.

Health and health costs aren't random. They're predictable - if you have the data and the models to read them. Better health and lower costs can be achieved with a system built to act on the prediction before the bill arrives.

That's what our name commits us to: seeing poor, costly outcomes before they happen, then using that intelligence to negotiate, route, and steer every employee towards their healthiest future self.

The opposite of prescience is the system we have today, where the first signal anyone gets is the claim that already broke the budget.

What we believe

Our convictions

Each one shows up in the care we provide, code we write, and partnerships we make.

01
MD-LED

Plans should be designed by doctors, not actuaries.

Every Prescience plan is shaped by our in-house MD team. We sculpt the networks, the technology, and the systems, because the people closest to patient care should be the people writing the policy.

02
RIGHT CARE

The right care is the cheapest care.

In the long run, cost-control through denials and avoidance costs more and is bad for our societiel health. We invest in predictive care, early intervention, and direct routing to high-quality providers. The savings compound.

03
DIRECT

Direct contracts beat middlemen.

Brokers, carriers, and PBMs each take a cut to introduce parties who could otherwise transact directly. We replace that chain with direct provider contracts and transparency.

04
ALIGNED

Incentives have to point the same way.

Employers, employees, and providers all want the same thing: healthier people at a sustainable cost. Prescience aligns the contracts, the plan design, and our own pricing so every party wins together.
